Our History

Hopewell Federal Credit Union was established in 1962 at the Newark Air

Force Station and was initially called the Heath Federal Credit Union then became the Newark Aerospace Federal Credit Union that served employees of the Base. In 1982 the office moved from the Base to Heath Rd. and in 1993   their name was changed to Hopewell Federal Credit Union. In 1999 HFCU moved to its current location on Hopewell Drive and in 2007 opened a branch location in Newark on 21st St.

Hopewell
According to the Ohio Historical Society, the ancient Hopewell Indians resided around the Heath/Newark area, and our name pays tribute to the early residents.
